Wapsi WILDS is a nature based tourism project promoting the Wapsipinicon River watershed from the Minnesota State Line to Independence, Iowa. It is an opportunity to showcase the Wapsipinicon River, the communities, businesses and outdoor recreation opportunities available. Whether you like to kayak, canoe, hike, bird watch, ski, snowshoe, camp, fish or hunt, the Wapsi has it all. Those of us that live near the Wapsi or spend time enjoying the area understand its importance and possibilities to draw tourists to the area.
